Aradel Holdings Plc, Nigeria’s foremost indigenous integrated energy company, celebrated its female workforce at its 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD) event held under the theme #GiveToGain.
Organised by the Aradel Women’s Network, the hybrid event brought together employees across the company’s three locations, providing a platform to connect, share experiences, and develop personal strategies for growth under the global 2026 IWD theme. The initiative brought together women across different functions within the organisation to inspire one another and strengthen both professional capability and personal development.
The keynote speaker of the day, Dr. Ibilola Amao, Principal Consultant at Lonadek Inc. and co-founder of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN), highlighted the importance of strong networks in driving personal and professional growth. Drawing from her own experiences, she described how active participation in professional organisations helped her build valuable relationships and access opportunities. She encouraged women to leverage collaboration, pursue continuous learning, actively engage in professional associations, and take ownership of their career development. Additionally, Dr. Amao also emphasised the importance of giving back by mentoring others, advocating for women when opportunities arise, and supporting the advancement of women across industries.
Addressing the women of Aradel, Adegbite Falade, MD/CEO, Aradel Holdings Plc, highlighted the company’s progress in strengthening gender diversity and reaffirmed its commitment to inclusion. He noted that this commitment is reflected in the growing representation of women across the organisation, including within the Board of Aradel Holdings Plc, stating, “Aradel is unequivocally committed to advancing gender balance as an expression of our core values, recognising that diversity strengthens our organisation because everyone brings their own unique perspectives and contributions. The more diverse we are, the stronger we become.” Speaking to the Give to Gain theme, Mr Falade outlined three organisational priorities: supporting women’s education and empowerment, expanding opportunities for women across the organisation, and maintaining equal standards of excellence for all employees.
The International Women’s Day event reflects Aradel’s ongoing commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace, where talent thrives, women are empowered and everyone is positioned to contribute meaningfully to the company’s growth and the broader energy sector.
